On Saturday and Sunday, October 12-13, Vision Makers Media will partner with MIGIZI Communications to host the Native Youth Media Summit, in Minneapolis, Minn. Featuring a diverse collection of teachers, filmmakers, writers, and other media innovators, the summit will explore ways to harness the power of today’s media for Native-driven storytelling and narrative empowerment. Instructors/presenters will include John Gwinn, Binesikwe Means, Tiana La Point, and Philip Sanchez. The summit also will introduce a new resource for instructors of youth media programs, The Native Youth Media Training Guidebook. This event requires an application. California Humanities is now accepting submissions for its 2019 California Documentary Project grant program (CPD). Productions in film, audio, and interactive media are invited to compete for research and development grants of up to $10K and production grants up to $50K. Miller / Packan Documentary Film Fund

The Rogovy Foundation is proud to announce an increase in its annual Miller / Packan Film Funding. Awarded bi-annually, the Fund awards grants totaling $200,000 to between six and twelve documentary film projects per year. The next Winter open call ends November 15th, and the Summer open call ends June 15th.
IDFA Bertha Fund
